The New England Guitar Society was established to create a nurturing environment for classical guitarists to meet, share ideas, perform, compose, teach and grow as musicians. Our goal is to increase the public interest in classical guitar, to ultimately create future players and audiences. ally rich chamber concert hall of the Milford Fine Arts Council. NEGS meets monthly on Sunday afternoons at 2 PM usually at the Firehouse Art Gallery, 81 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, CT.
Activities include informal solo performances, ensemble readings, member recitals and lively discussion about the classical guitar. NEGS invites community classical guitarists to join us at our facility to perform pre-concert recitals and test out new works. NEGS was founded in 2004 by Cem Duruöz, artistic director, and James Baird, president.
