Music starts at 6:00 PM.

Everyone who attends receives a raffle ticket just for showing up, and if you’re wearing a Milford Open Mic shirt or hat, you’ll receive a second raffle ticket.

Some songwriters write songs.

Zach Andersen writes moments.

His new original release, Love and Insomnia, performed at our May open mic, captures that rare blend of honesty, humor, and heart that makes you stop and think, “Yep… I’ve been there.” Whether it’s a clever turn of phrase, an unexpected observation, or a feeling you didn’t realize someone else understood, Zach has a way of making everyday experiences feel unforgettable. The song was released on May 27 and features Hannah Ferguson

One of the things we love most about Zach is his unique ability to connect with people. His songs feel personal without trying too hard. They make you laugh, reflect, and sometimes see your own story hidden between the lines. Every performance feels like a conversation with an old friend.

We’re incredibly grateful to have Zach as part of our Milford Open Mic community. He continues to create, share, and put new music into the world, and we’re always excited to hear what comes next.

And he does it again! of has delivered the fourth of four installments of his Martha’s Vineyard photo collection to be raffled off next Monday … this is all culminating to July’s “Gallery Night”, on July 20th . We will have our normal open Mic, with the addition of John setting up a pop-up gallery of his work, which will be available for viewing and purchase. We’ve been having so much fun connecting everyone with photographer John Maggi, as we all have known him as musician John Maggi. Can’t wait to get these three prints into three lucky attendees hands… and for Gallery Night coming up in July!!

Some performances just hit differently.

Declan Byrne has only been part of the Milford Open Mic community for a few months, but it already feels like he’s been with us much longer. His passion for music, his steady presence, and his willingness to step up and share his talent have made him a valued part of what we’re building together.

Backed by the powerful guitar work of Mike Pellegrino , these two have developed a chemistry that brings new life to every song they tackle. On this night, Declan delivered a fantastic rendition of “Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi, with Mike laying down the kind of rich, driving guitar accompaniment that makes a performance feel larger than the room itself.

We’re grateful to have musicians like Declan and Mike helping make Milford Open Mic such a special place for artists and music lovers alike.

Flynn Ayers is the kind of artist who leaves an impression long after the song ends.

This original song, “Check My Ego Out the Door,” which was performed at our May 2026 open mic night held , is a perfect example of what makes Flynn special. She brings honesty, heart, and a powerful voice that isn’t afraid to soar. Those high notes? She goes for them. Every time.

If you’ve spent any time around Flynn off stage, you’ve probably noticed the same thing we have. She carries an optimism and kindness that makes people feel welcome. On stage, that same energy transforms into a captivating performer who commands attention and connects with an audience.

You’ll find Flynn performing in all kinds of musical settings, announcing shows, writing songs, and constantly growing as an artist. We recently learned she was accepted to Berklee College of Music, and we couldn’t be more excited for her. It’s one of those moments where you know you’re witnessing the beginning of something much bigger.

We’re grateful that Milford Open Mic has had the chance to be part of her journey during these exciting years. She is talented, driven, authentic, and absolutely going places.

Flynn, as you continue chasing your dreams and sharing your music with the world, just remember there’s a community in Milford, Connecticut cheering you on every step of the way.
