Mispillion Art League is seeking art class instructors for September through December 2026. We particularly need teachers for youth classes!

Proposals are due JULY 31, 2026. Email [email protected] to receive the online submission form.

MAL hosts youth and adult classes in a variety of techniques and skill levels. Classes may be technical skill building lessons or relaxing easy projects. We are open to just about any creative process you’d like to share. Instructors must present a class description and an example image.

You can structure your class as a single session or as an extended course with weekly sessions. Multi-week courses can be as few as two classes and as many as six. Classes tend to be between one and three hours each.

You can choose to work with kids, teens, and/or adults. Age groups are typically 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, and 16+ or 18+, but instructors may choose the age group.

We schedule our classes in three seasons throughout the year; January-April, May-August, and September-December. Class proposals are typically due four to six weeks before the beginning of each season through our online form. Pop-up classes may be added later, but will not have scheduling priority.

Instructors are paid $35 per hour for the duration of the class, plus one hour pay for preparation (multi-week classes receive one hour prep pay total, not one per session).

We do not have specific credential requirements for our instructors, but expect them to be proficient and confident in their craft and ability to teach others.

All new instructors must go through a brief interview and be willing to agree to a background check. Classes with three or fewer students are subject to cancellation.

Right now, come by Mispillion Art League and enjoy the Milford Garden Club show reception, until 6:30 pm. Martha Peleggi and other artists are taking advantage of the local color to do a little painting and sketching. You're welcome to bring your sketch supplies and join in!
