These past days have been filled with joy and love and we were able to allow some watercolor to flow with a beautiful inspirational book we had purchased a while ago called Watercolor Workbook by Sometimes life gets in the way and you also get a block. This book has so many ideas and creativity within and was the gateway out of the art block. We grabbed our 1/8 inch dagger from the “free from fear brush collection “ by and two watercolor paints from our woodlands paint palette from and creates our beautiful Dahlia from what was felt within. Today is a another day that is fast passing and we are thankful we spent time loving , laughing , reflecting and creating ! Until next time…. Create what’s within!

It’s not always about composing a masterpiece. Sometimes you just need to paint to just paint and create a calm within yourself. So we just had to paint this evening , not thinking about what or why but to just create something ! When choosing what two brushes to use it was like a ahhhh Qor Watercolors were needed to achieve the vibrancy which was envisioned. Not to bad for playing around without expectations ! So we did a little something last week and it’s been a busy type of week so we are just now getting to show you the newest set of watercolor brushes to add to our collection. Now we really are lovers of Princeton brushes they just make for an amazing watercolor painting but we recently came across a fellow watercolor artist via YouTube and saw so many reviews about her brushes. We decided to get them and see how they are. Well first of all they are packaged so beautiful and the sayings are amazing ! The feel of the brushes in your hand are lightweight and smooth and they come with cute little pouches to travel with and keep them in good shape ! The handles have little sayings on them too! Now we only tested these out last night with our Daniel Smith watercolors and we were very pleased and how well they held water and pigment. One thing we really loved is that in these two sets they do not have duplicate brushes they do have different sizes of the various brushes but no two the same ! Ok ok so what is the favorite ?????
The favorite is the daggers and cats tongue ! Just a note also that the point on the rounds are perfect for the finest of details ! We are overall very pleased and will create a few florals over the next week so you can see how these brushes are in action! Now while here in NEPA is getting colder by the day it makes the perfect time to create art with a cup of tea and watching the deer in the yard with the other animals !

This is one of my joys in life. When I first started creating watercolor art I would have never thought to try my hand in portraits. Now that I do them I really have a passion to create more ! The best part is getting to collaborate with the one and only as he sketches and adds details so these portraits and paintings can be perfect! Art makes me feel so amazing it gives me a feeling of fulfillment I can not give words to ! We are going to continue to create from within and we hope you follow along on this journey! &art

Calm…. Tranquil ….. At Peace…. That is exactly how I felt during this painting. I love stones and this was just a do you and create something fabulous kind of painting. Sometimes it’s not about how much time put into your art but you actually sitting and committing to starting and FINISHING your art piece. I used my watercolor palette and my Neptune watercolor brushes by on Arches watercolor paper to create this beauty! I think I could just paint stones over and over ! There are no rules you and the watercolor are in control of this . Of course this was created at the best Juice Bar around !

There are just days and times that experimenting really brings out cool results ! Many ask why is watercolor your go to? Isn’t it hard because you can’t control it like you can other mediums ? Well while I use different mediums to create art , watercolor is my very favorite because there is such a variety of ways to create art with it. When watercolor explodes on the paper the flow of the colors really intrigue me and open my mind to possibilities without rules. Watching the paint mingle with the water remind me of when flowers and trees bloom. With winter creeping up here in NEPA it’s time to expand , explore and dive deeper into my love of watercolor and art! The cold snowy and icy days make for the best time to paint with a cup of tea and a warm cozy blanket ! I hope you follow the art journey with me and be inspired to create outside of the box ! Go and Create from Within !
