The Sweeney Collection Gallery The Sweeney Collection gallery is dedicated to art glass beads. Located in Milford, CT The collection is currently housed in Glorieta, NM.

We are a new museum based on a collection of beads started by Linda Sweeney. The museum is dedicated to raising awareness of this amazing medium of miniature glass art and recording the history of the artists. There is also a lampwork studio where classes of up to 8 students can be held. Our Mission Statement:
- To educate people about the medium of lampwork beads
-To record the history of the Am

erican glass bead movement
-Become a resource of information and networking for artists, students and historians
-Promote artists' work and market art glass beads
-Support lampwork artists in any way possible
-Support bead related and community charities

The party was a blast. I met so many interesting people. And learning about their connections! I only got a few pictures. The bracelet is one I made of Corina Tettinger beads that I gave to Amy Schwartz for her 30th anniversary at The Studio. She and her husband, Bill Gudenrath, have been at the helm for the entire 30 years of The Studio. This night was about them. The shots of pages are the room guides. The beads in the exhibits have numbers and the room guides list the artists. Well, I will be back in just a little over a week for the GAS conference but I am
glad I could be here for this also.

I am at the Corning Museum of Glass and recorded a tour of the Burke
Room exhibit that features my beads. The name of the hotshop artist that I could not remember is Ben Edols. Tonight is the Grand Opening party!

Whoohoo! Mathieu Grodet typically does not make beads and I don’t collect anything but. So I asked him if he would mind. He took on the challenge and made three for me to choose from. If you follow him, you might have seen him post one of the three earlier this week. Mine arrived in the mail today! It’s a beauty. Thanks big time to Mathieu! Please open all the images. They are worth it.
