📚 🧚‍♀️Today we had the pleasure of hearing from local businesswoman and mom Kat McMinn, alongside Milan Elementary School Librarian Samantha Hurt, about the Book Fairy project!

After volunteering at the MES Book Fair, Kat noticed that some children weren't able to purchase books and decided to step up. Thanks to her initiative and community donations, last year every single child at Milan Elementary was able to pick out a book to take home!

The MES Book Fair starts NEXT WEEK. Kat is currently taking donations and is a little over halfway to her goal, but she needs our help to cross the finish line.

Rotary has a strong, foundational mission dedicated to literacy, and we commend Kat for recognizing a need in our community and taking action to support our local youth!

How You Can Help:
If you feel inclined to support the Book Fairy project, you can donate in two ways:
1. Drop off cash or a check to Kat at SR Salon in Milan.
2. Send a donation via Venmo to -mcminn.

Thank you, Kat and Samantha, for being true champions for our students!

We are incredibly honored to announce that the Milan Rotary Club has been awarded the Club Excellence Award, which is the most significant award that a Rotary club can achieve! 🏆

To put this achievement into perspective, there are 61 clubs in District 6760, and Milan was one of only 14 clubs to earn this distinction this year. This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and heart of our members who strive to make our community a better place every single day.

Whether it’s through local service projects, community events, or supporting our youth, this award belongs to everyone who has pitched in to help us live up to the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self." Thank you to our amazing members and the entire Milan community for your continued support!

This month, the Rotary Club of Milan was proud to celebrate and support the amazing speech department at Milan Elementary School for Speech Pathologist Month! 💙🗣️

Our club gifted the MES speech team with gift cards to help purchase new items for their classrooms and start the upcoming school year off strong. We are thankful for the dedication, patience, and impact these educators make in the lives of students every single day.

Thank you for all you do to help children find their voice and build confidence!
