We’re excited to announce our donation drive, and we’d love your support! As you clean out your closets this season, consider donating any gently used clothing or household items you no longer need. Every donation helps support our growing theater company and the work we do in our community.

A donation bin will be available during our The Wizard of Oz performances on August 7–9, making it easy to drop off your items while you enjoy the show.

Join us June 13, at 2pm for our staged reading of Patient Files, followed by a 30 minute talk back!

Admission is Free, and finger foods/drinks will be provided!

Synopsis:
What does it mean to be “mad” or “crazy”? Is it ever contagious? Justifiable? Weaponized? Does it stay in the locked halls of psychiatric institutions? Is that where its banished– or where its created?

Patient Files takes the timeless concept of “Sanity” versus “Insanity” and extends it two places: to the stories and plays of the Ancient Greeks, and to the halls of a psychiatric facility in 1955 just outside Chicago, during the beginnings of a systemic change in psychiatric medicine. Flanked by hallucinations and dreams, the play dips in and out of reality to remind us that the black and white of “sane” and “insane” is not as simple as we are often told to believe. Oedipus Rex, Medea, Clytemnestra, and Cassandra all come alive in a retelling of mythology that aims to ask an itching question: why are some people decided to be crazy and others are not?
