Dear Parade Participants, volunteers and supporters,

It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of this year's Midlothian Day Parade which was scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2021. Like other major events around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many events to either be postponed or cancelled due to concerns of public spread of the virus.
"We were really looking forward to inviting the community back this year to celebrate Midlothian," said Quenton Lee, Midlothian Foundation founder, "unfortunately the risk of COVID-19 spreading in our community is still high and we would rather everyone be safe."
For more than 25 years, the Midlothian Day Parade has been a tradition in the village of Midlothian. It usually coincides with the Midlothian Festival organized by the Midlothian Moms. The festival will still go on as planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Midlothian Middle School.

10/16/2020

After several meetings with our sponsors, Midlothian Junior Women’s Club, and Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation, we have decided to cancel the 2020 Midlothian Day Parade due to current state regulations and the uncertainty and risk with COVID-19.

While we are saddened by this decision, we must prioritize the health and safety of our participants, judges, volunteers and attendees. Other possibilities and options are currently being explored at this time.
