Attention: Due to legal reasons, insurance, our sanity, and good business acumen, Higher Power Sound & Staging will no longer accept event service offers without a signed contract, including a stage plot, tech rider, and 50% deposit paid at the time of signing.
I realize this may cause us to lose some events: and I'm good with that. We operate in excellence on all fronts, business included. I will do everything I can to accommodate any client - but I will no longer operate on "wink, nod, and shrug" management.
If you don't have the professionalism to meet these easy standards, then I simply am not interested in providing sound, staging, lighting, design, install, or consulting services for you.
This includes sub-work. I am more than happy to collaborate with any sound company that wishes to hire us - however - those standards will still apply.
If you are an existing client, a band or venue with whom we have established a working relationship, the deposit can be waived at my discretion.
Also, note that inclement weather will cause an immediate shut down, and "equipment sequester action" of my determination. If you insist that we operate in weather that I determine can causexdamage and/or will ruin our equipment, I'll insist on a cash deposit sufficient to replace every piece of equipment on the stage. That is fair and equitable business practice.
Additionally, last-minute calls will come with an "expedite premium". On top of a sound crew, I work with Lighting Directors, Riggers, Staging Assembly/Disassembly Crews, and Stage Flow Directors. Last minute calls create chaos, interrupt lives, and cause scheduling nightmares. The extra work is worth extra cost.
Lastly, event quotes are valid for 14 calendar days. I will only guarantee pricing and availability for that time period. After 14 days, prices could (and likely will) increase. Of course, once the contract is signed, we're locked in and there'll be no issues.
We are grateful for this privilege of serving sound reinforcement needs for our clients. We can't wait for 2027 and the new clients we'll meet.
