It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Alyson Jaspe. She was a cherished member of the Absolute Dance family and we were honored to call her one of our “kids”. Aly was an alumni of our recreational program and our ADPT Silver Team, and graduated from the program in 2024.
Even after graduating and moving to Norwich University in Vermont, she could still be seen around the studio and its events as often as she could manage. From running music at Winter Showcase, working backstage at Recital, or just randomly helping out with office work, Aly’s presence was always enjoyed by all. Aly was more than just a part of the family, she was the perfect example of selflessness, humor, and pure joy in the face of adversity. She was the kind of person who was voted “Best Teammate” when she wasn’t even on the team, and the girl everyone knew and loved even though they had never had a class with her. Her smile and laughter brought so much light to all of our lives, and Absolute won't be the same without her. She was the strongest fighter we have ever met, and she never stopped looking to the future. We have been so blessed to have shared what little time we had with Aly, and we are all better dancers, teachers, and human beings for knowing her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends, as there are not enough words to express our sympathies. Our gratitude to them for sharing her with us is beyond measure, and we are forever thankful for our time with Aly at Absolute 💕
