Practice doesn’t stop when you get certified. 🖤

One of the things I take most seriously as an artist is continuing my education—and not just learning how to create a beautiful brow, but understanding WHY I’m doing what I’m doing.

I want to know what’s in the pigment I’m putting into your skin.
Why I chose that pigment for your skin.
What needle configuration I’m using and why.
How depth, technique and skin type affect healed results.
How that pigment is expected to age and fade over time.
And what we can realistically expect from your brows years from now—not just immediately after your appointment.

Because permanent makeup is so much more than making something look pretty on day one.

So yes, even after years of training, certifications and working on real skin, you’ll still find me tattooing practice skins, taking classes, studying my products and refining my technique.

I don’t ever want to stop being a student of my craft.

Sometimes a tattoo doesn’t need to be completely redone—it just needs a little ✨love✨ and some better flow.

This client came in with an existing tattoo that needed a little refining, but our biggest goal was creating more movement and flow around her arm. We cleaned up the existing work, added to the constellation-inspired design, and gave it a much more intentional, cohesive feel. ✨

Needless to say, I’m absolutely OBSESSED and currently wishing this one was on my own arm. 🤌🏼🖤

Ask your brow artist about more than just their technique. Ask what your brows are going to look like years from now. 👏🏼

What pigment line do they use?
What kind of longevity do they typically see?
And what should you expect based on your skin type?

This client came to me with microblading from 2019 that she said only lasted about a year. What was left behind was essentially a faint warmth/redness from the previous pigment—and very little visible scarring.

And honestly? That’s a beautiful fade.

Microblading can leave scar tissue when the skin is repeatedly or improperly traumatized, so seeing her skin in such good condition gave me a gorgeous canvas to work with. Her previous pigment was faded enough that we could safely create these soft, natural nano brows. 🖤

I personally use the hybrid pigment line from and typically see around 1–3+ years of beautiful retention, depending heavily on skin type, lifestyle, skincare and other factors.

My drier-skin clients tend to hold pigment the longest, while my oilier-skin clients may be ready for a refresh closer to the 18-month mark. That doesn’t necessarily mean the brows are gone—just that they’re ready for a little boost.

And this is exactly why how permanent makeup fades matters.

I see so many clients with old gray, blue, green or heavily saturated brows who desperately want nano/hair strokes. Unfortunately, if there’s too much old pigment remaining, adding delicate strokes over it won’t give you the airy, natural result you’re looking for. In those cases, laser or saline lightening/removal may be the better first step.

If old pigment is very faint, powder brows may sometimes still be an option—but sometimes you’ll ultimately be happier starting with a cleaner canvas rather than continuing to layer pigment over pigment.

Fresh brows are pretty. Beautifully healed—and beautifully faded—brows are the real goal. 👏🏼

She chose herself today. 🖤

Not because she needs to “fix” her body. Not because stretch marks make her any less beautiful.

But because she wants to look in the mirror and feel a little more like herself again.

She’s a grown woman. She’s a mom. She’s spent years pouring into everyone else—and now she’s figuring out who she is in this season of life, wholly and unapologetically.

Her goal? To put on a two-piece swimsuit next summer without a second thought.

Today was one small step toward that version of her. ✨

This is her first inkless stretch mark revision session, and in 6 weeks I’ll share her side-by-side so you can see what kind of change is possible after just one treatment.

While every body and every stretch mark heals differently, many of my clients work toward their desired results over a series of 3–5 sessions.

ONE treatment. 👀

The area circled in this photo has had just one round of inkless scar revision — and look how much that scar has already softened and blended into the surrounding skin. 🥹

While some of the other scars pictured are still working through the healing process, this little section gave us such a beautiful glimpse of what can happen once healing is complete. It’s nearly nonexistent!

We just completed her second treatment, and I am so excited to see where we go from here.

And next time I promise to be better about getting photos once everything is actually fully healed instead of getting too excited and taking them early. 😂😉
