OFFICIAL AUDITION NOTICE: THE WIZARD OF OZ

Follow the yellow brick road to the stage! Theatre Harrisburg is holding auditions for our Season 101 production of The Wizard of Oz, directed by Matt Spencer with music direction by Ryan Dean Schoening!

Theatre Harrisburg is committed to identity-conscious casting. We are seeking adult actors as well as children aged 10 and up for our Youth Ensemble.

📍 AUDITION LOCATION: Paxton Presbyterian Church
3500 Sharon St, Harrisburg, PA 17111

🗓️ AUDITION DATE: Sunday, August 23, 2026
* 🕒 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Reserved for Youth Ensemble (Ages 10+)
* 🕠 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Reserved for Adults Only (Ages 18+)

🎭 CALLBACKS (By Invitation Only):
* Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (Same location)

🎶 WHAT TO PREPARE:
* Prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show or from the show (Please note: Do NOT sing “Over the Rainbow”).
* Bring sheet music in your key—a pianist will be provided.

📌 KEY SHOW DETAILS:
* Performances: November 20 – December 13, 2026 at the Krevsky Production Center (513 Hurlock St, Harrisburg, PA 17110).
* Rehearsal Schedule: Sun–Wed initially (adding Thursdays closer to tech). Sunday rehearsals run 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM.
* Casting Note: All roles, except Dorothy, will play multiple roles throughout the production.
