WOO HOO!! Our dear friends and loonnggg time supporters Michele and Ron JUST PUT US OVER THE TOP! Our AFWP PEACE HOUSE is officially paid for, and Isaac and his team are busy trying to finish it up so the kids can move in. In the past 2 weeks the septic system went in, Musa had the electricity brought into our main house, the garden is providing abundant food for our family and friends, the sinks and toilets are currently being installed and the kitchen cabinets are currently being hand-made. OMG! Our BIGGEST DREAM CAME TRUE. From the bottom of our hearts, we THANK each and every one of you who have been supporting the work of the past 24 years. Since starting my organization with one humble question: "How can artists help change the world?" we've been answering that question in the most unbelievable ways. OUR HEARTS ARE FULL.

As AMAZING as it is, we are only $530. away from raising all of the money needed to complete our Forever PEACE HOUSE for our entire family in Tanzania! If 53 of our friends can each donate $10.00 we'll be DONE!! Purchasing the farm, building our wall, the road to our land, planting our gardens and crops, bringing in water and electricity, and BUILDING OUR HOME! We are full of gratitude and love. These photos just popped up from 10 years ago today at our Free Eye Clinic at the AFWP Health Center we built in Kibosho-Umbwe, Tanzania. The post was from , one of the amazing nurses who traveled, along with her husband, Dr. Umair Hussain. Dr. Hans Sleichter and his wife, were also on our medical team. Hans, Umair, and were the optometrists on our trip that year. Huma and Katy were our nurses. Jennifer Lia, , Miles Nasta, and were on our support team. was the optician who had as his assistant dispensing eyeglasses. It is an incredible feeling to provide free eye care to those most in need, especially when many of the thousands of patients we took care of in Tanzania never had access to eye care. Our primary sponsors for this particular clinic were Lions Clubs of Massachusetts, in particular Don Fortin and District 33-A Lions. They donated 40,000 pair of eyeglasses to us, and we are eternally grateful. They also donated two complete lanes of equipment that we shipped from Connecticut to Tanzania to take care of everyone waiting there for us.

In the past few days two friends dropped off donations. THANK YOU Pat L and Joan B. We also received a wonderful donation in the mail from Britta T. With your help in the past couple of days we are now down to fundraising the last $630. To COMPLETE our children’s Forever Home, our AFWP PEACE HOUSE! We are filled with to everyone who believed in our huge dream of buying a farm, building our home, and raising animals so that our children will grow their own food, the chickens will provide eggs, and the cows will give us milk. This JUST popped up from close to 10 years ago when our 6x6 4 PEACE MOVEMENT began! With the help of thousands of artists around the world painting a 6x6 painting for our Traveling PEACE WALL, we have provided free eye care to almost 10,000 people in need. Just another way has shown how artists CAN help change the world! THANK YOU to every artist who has donated their talent to our vision for almost 25 years. You're each part of our story, and we are grateful!
