We made these flower presses in a class a couple years ago. This is the first time I have used it or pressed flowers in this way. Black eyed susans came out great!!! 🌻💛Do you press flowers? How do you store them!?

Finally Friday Book Club was a great way to start the weekend. Snacks, crafting and books…what else does a girl need?

Tonight’s craft we made Artist Trading Cards using book pages as part of our background.

Middletown is our home.

And Pendleton Art Studios Middletown has become our home away from home. We’ve raised our children here. We’ve worshipped here. We’ve built friendships here. We’ve made countless memories in this community we have chosen to call ours.

Middletown sometimes gets a bad rap, but I see something different. I see people who are choosing to invest in this community—to bring light, hope, creativity, art, and friendship to the place we call home.

No place is perfect. Every community has its challenges. But we get to choose what we see, what we focus on, and what we contribute.

So let’s make Middletown a place we’re proud to call home. A place where we lift each other up, create something beautiful, and believe in what this community can become.

So much happening at the studio over the weekend. We have begun the switch of the workspace and the gallery…it’s a work in progress. But I just had to show you the new coffee station!! Omgoodness, Mike did such a beautiful job. Can’t wait for you to see our new look on First Friday!!

Mija’s first day as studio dog. She was perfect. Looking forward to spending more time creating with her. We are moving the studio around this month so I’ve decided to not do our monthly Tuesday class. Stay tuned for a new look and info about our next class. See you in September!!

Hanging out with You Matter - A Book + Art Club for Teens today. We will be making fun journals perfect for keeping track of books read and books we hope to read. As a teenager, my favorite books were VC Andrews and Stephen King. What was yours?
