Long time client, pal and stellar human Dennis Nardella of Nardella’s Music, patched into the house sound system at Bill Miller’s Castle in Branford, CT for a band CD release party. Dennis supplied, the Allen & Heath SQ6+ mix console, QSC K12.2 monitors, stands, cabling, microphones and DI’s, lighting, etc.
We did the install at the “Castle” lots of years ago, all QSC power, loudspeakers and processed via QSC QSYS.
The room Dennis is working in has a main stereo left-right, then four different delay zones with a total of 7 loudspeaker, two zones for the main floor two speakers each, the a zone for balcony one with one loudspeaker, the balcony two with two loudspeakers. They are timed and shaded for amplitude so well you really can’t tell if they are actually on.
The bar and the main entry room are reserved by eight large diameter Lo-Z ceiling speakers again timed and amplitude shaded. If you exit out onto the deck as you exit the building the timing to the exterior IP rated loudspeakers is spot on, making the deck and extension of the interior experience, as is the west yard green space.
