Eclectic House

Eclectic House Storied residential and event space at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT Eclectic House is a campus residence and arts venue.

Architect Henry Bacon designed the House, which was completed in 1907 to house a Wesleyan fraternity, the Eclectic Society of Phi Nu Theta, est. 1837. Today, Eclectic House is a campus venue and a residential space that houses members of two groups: Movement House, an inclusive residence space for creatives who are particularly interested in dance; and Eclectic, a coeducational group committed to

providing collaborative artistic environments and discussion spaces to students from every corner of campus. Wesleyan students plan, host, and staff a variety of events and artistic endeavors at Eclectic House. These endeavors include dance, visual arts, music, workshops and film screenings. Eclectic House is listed on the National and Connecticut Registers of Historic Places.
