FrightFest Update - Hi Everyone. Knock on wood. Weather is looking good for Saturday. Unfortunately, we made a HUGE boo boo. DEAD ALIVE currently is restricted for theatrical bookings and we are unable to play this title. We truly apologize for this blunder and can promise, when it is finally released, we will look to bring it here. The replacement title is the first runner-up, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. See you Saturday!

Fright Fest Update - Knock on wood everyone. Weather is looking good for Saturday. Unfortunately, we made a HUGE boo boo. It turns out the rights to DEAD ALIVE are no longer where we thought they were and we are unable to license it for a screening. We have replaced the title with the next in line... AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. Apologies to those of you that voted for DEAD ALIVE. When the rights are ready to go, we promise you to program it in a future fest.

TIME'S UP!!! Thanks to all of you who got your votes in. We have to tell you... This was the wackiest, off-the-wall voting that ever got assembled. HALLOWEEN also just missed on voting by 3 spots. We are trying to do something really big with that title next year involving cast & creators of HALLOWEEN 1-3 but it may take some crowdfunding. Without further adieu, here are your 4 titles for FrightFest. If anyone has trailers or intermission suggestions, put it in the comments below. If you are attending, the first person to suggest and you see your suggestion on screen that night, you just might win a free carload pass to use for any regular film in 2026. Please make sure you have ID with you that night to collect. The showtime schedule will be posted by Wednesday evening. Alan Howarth's show begins approximately at 7pm.

Spots are 10x10 but plenty of space for you to park with your vehicle in front or behind your setup.

Fair Oaks FrightFest 9/5 Update - We are 12 days away. Don't forget that the ballots are due in by 8pm Sunday (8/30). We will announce the 3 films joining SUSPIRIA later that evening. If you still did not get a ballot, please send us as an instant message on here and we will upload it to you via that route

If you have any movie or genre themed merchandise and you would like to set up a sales table for the evening, we are welcoming any vendors (food, weapon or alcohol/drug sales prohibited) to set up shop for the evening. Cost is $40. Vendors may start setting up at 4:30pm and are welcome to stay the length of the evening.

As a reminder, longtime friend of Fair Oaks, Alan Howarth, will be performing live to open the show at 7pm. Many of you attending are familiar with Alan's work co-composing scores such as HALLOWEEN 2, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK & BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA.

Several have asked why there is no actor or actress visiting this year. To those of you who have supported the Meet & Greet and Photo Ops (and there are several regulars), from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We truly love bringing in these guests and when we tell you that all we care about is breaking even on these special appearances, we mean it. While everyone wants to be able to turn a profit on them, we just don't want to drown. With rising costs of appearance fees & travel expenses, we felt we needed to pause it this season. Trying to figure out a way to make it work for all next year. Possibly running a Kickstarter campaign on it. We have talked to several genre veterans over the last few weeks and we can bring them here. We just need to make sure the support is in place before we do. One event we want to do for next years FrightFest requires a significant investment for the trio we want to bring in, and many of you regulars might lose your minds if we announce it. But we are trying to crunch numbers to see if we can make it work.
