We recently held a gaming event at the CNIB Lake Joe Guide Dog Camp for blind kids and their guide dogs. It was an amazing experience to get some of these awesome kids to try out Bonocle and play our completely accessible games that are fun, educational, and empowering. The kids were competing in our endless runner game, where they controlled Bo, a robotic guide dog, and helped him get through an obstacle course to prove he’s ready to be a guide dog. The game features braille feedback combined with haptics and motion to create an immersive experience that is fully accessible to anyone with vision loss.

Our team also had a great time chatting with the wonderful parents, and we could not forget the amazing hospitality of the CNIB team, especially Miriam Mas, who made the entire experience perfect.

We were honored to receive an exciting package in our mail from in preparation for the WSA Global Congress taking place next week between the 22nd and 24th March. Our fingers are crossed as Bonocle will be competing for the WSA Global Champion 2021 title against 40 winners from  26 countries. The event will be virtual and free for everyone to enjoy. Last month we ended 2020 on an extremely positive note. Amidst the global pandemic and its chaos, Bonocle was chosen as one of the 2020 World Summit Awards winners under the "Inclusion and Empowerment" category. This award is not only one we share with our employees but also with the entire blind community worldwide.
