This week marked the final Boy's Class of our 25/26 academic year. Instructor Edward Salas (Kanopy Dance Company Member) said, "Beyond dance, this year I focused on kindness towards oneself and each other. We have talented dancers. I want them dancing kindly with others regardless of their talent." While Salas built upon technique and humility, Intro Ballet dancer Brandon was all about learning the Royale Jump. "It's hard and fun," said Brandon. "Boys do lots of Royales so its really important." Meanwhile, Pre-Pro dancer Tommy used Boy's Class, ". . . for leg conditioning. I'm constantly jumping and landing big, powerful jumps. So, I have to protect my legs." Our Boy's Class is designed so our young male dancers can build the strength and technique necessary for men's ballet.
