❤️ Just Being Nominated Means More Than You Know ❤️
Josh honestly didn’t even know this was happening. He’s been focused on his clients, his work, and continuing to build Addicted Ink, so finding out that people in our community took the time to nominate him for Businessman of the Year was a really special surprise.
The awards dinner happens to fall on our daughter’s birthday, so we may not be able to attend, but that doesn’t take away from how incredibly grateful and thankful we are that people considered Josh worthy of being included among so many other amazing people in our community.
And honestly, just seeing his name on this list is an accomplishment in itself.
When we started Addicted Ink, we set a standard for ourselves. We wanted to do something different. We wanted to bring big-city experiences to a small-town community, and we’ve worked hard to do exactly that.
The standards we’ve set for our services come from one thing: we love the community we serve.
Josh has a passion for art, but what he does is so much more than putting ink into someone’s skin.
I’ve watched this man build this business from the ground up. I’ve watched him work, sacrifice, learn, grow, and continue pushing forward while also taking care of me through some of the hardest moments of my life as I’ve learned to walk again.
And while he was helping take care of me, he was also dealing with his own battles, including lupus and rheumatoid arthritis flare-ups, yet he continued to show up every day and push himself to be better—not only for himself, but for his clients and for this business.
This has been an incredible year for Addicted Ink.
From participating in the People’s Artist Contest and finishing 3rd, to becoming a Bell County Chamber of Commerce member as a tattoo studio, Josh has continued to show what professional tattooing can look like in a small-town community.
We’ve also had the opportunity to help break some of the stigma surrounding tattoos.
Because tattoos aren’t just for a certain “type” of person.
It’s your nurse.
It’s your teacher.
It’s your RN.
It’s your LPN.
It’s your neighbor.
It’s people from right here in our community.
It’s people traveling from all over to experience what Josh creates.
Whether it’s a memorial piece for someone who has lost a loved one, a meaningful piece representing someone’s story, or simply a design they’ve dreamed about for years, Josh gets to take those ideas and bring them to life.
And that is so much more than dipping a machine into ink.
It’s about providing an experience.
It’s about listening to people.
It’s about earning their trust.
It’s about taking care of the people who walk through your doors.
It’s about giving back to the community that supports you.
That’s what we wanted Addicted Ink to be from the beginning.
So why does Josh deserve to be Businessman of the Year?
Because I’ve watched him build something from the ground up.
I’ve watched him work for it.
I’ve watched him struggle.
I’ve watched him overcome.
I’ve watched him keep going.
And I couldn’t be more proud of him.
Whether he wins or not, being considered for this means something to us. Having his name alongside the other incredible people who were nominated is an accomplishment all by itself.
To everyone who nominated Josh: thank you. ❤️
Thank you for seeing the work he puts in. Thank you for supporting Addicted Ink. Thank you to every person who has trusted him with your tattoo, recommended us to someone else, shared our work, walked through our doors, or simply supported what we’re building.
And good luck to everyone on the ballot. Every single person nominated should be proud to have been recognized by their community.
Never forget that no matter where you are in life, you can turn things around. You can build something. You can overcome the things that tried to stop you.
Be the change you want to see.
We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community. ❤️
