INTRODUCING THE CAST OF NUNSENSE!

We are thrilled to introduce you to the cast of MCP’s spring musical comedy sensation Nunsense, by Don Goggin, at Town Hall Theater April 24 through May 3, 2026.

The five local actors who have been rehearsing since January are:
Michelle Fico, Maggie Gates, Jillian Torres, Christina Dewar and Avery Cutroni.

“Nunsense” features five good-hearted, well-intentioned female characters who just happen to be nuns! When 52 sisters are accidentally poisoned by the convent’s cook, the five of the remaining nuns of the Little Sisters of Hoboken put on a musical r***e to raise money for the funerals of four still-unburied sisters. Highlighting their “secret talents” from their pre-convent lives, they sing, dance, and entertain their way through a series of vaudeville-like numbers, often with great comic effect.

The musical is being directed by Peter Kristoph with music direction by Annette Franklin and choreography by Kendra Gratton, who’s also serving as assistant director. Dora Greven is stage managing, assisted by Meg Kennedy, and Kush Sharma is producing, mentored by Mary Longey.

Tickets will go on sale at the end of March!

01/22/2026

Tickets are now on sale for The Middlebury Community Players’ production of Ken Ludwig’s hilarious farce, “Moon Over Buffalo.” This fast-paced homage to theater will run from February 19th through 22nd at Town Hall Theater in Middlebury.

Set in Buffalo, New York, in 1953, the play centers on George and Charlotte Hay, two fading stars of the 1950s stage who are performing Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives in repertory theater to a dwindling audience. On the brink of a disastrous split, they receive word that Hollywood director Frank Capra is coming to their matinee that very day, offering one last shot at stardom. What follows is a perfect storm of theatrical chaos: a paternity announcement, a visit from their daughter’s weatherman-fiancé, a deaf mother-in-law’s confusion over Irish coffee, and a series of mistaken identities, dropped lines, and rapid-fire costume changes that run wildly off the rails!

The production stars Carl Engvall as the over-the-top George Hay, Suzanna Miller as his fiery wife Charlotte, Lilia Cohen as Eileen, Bettina Matthias as Ethel, Raphael Desautels as Howard, Benjamin Houchen as Paul, Leigh Guptill as Richard, and Olivia Olson as Rosalind. Called “Broadway’s funniest, most enjoyable lighthearted play” by Entertainment Weekly, “Moon Over Buffalo” promises an unforgettable night of entertainment with plenty of laughs.

Performances are February 19, 20, and 21, 2026 at 7:30 pm, as well as a matinee on Sunday, February 22 at 2:00 pm at Middlebury’s Town Hall Theater. Ticket prices: Thursday (opening night): $15, $25, $35; Friday-Saturday-Sunday: $20, $25, $35;. Prices include all fees. For tickets, visit www.TownHallTheater.org or call the THT box office at 802-382-9222.
