Town Hall Theater’s first-ever New England Family Theatre Festival brought wonder and world-class live performance to audiences of all ages, welcoming 1,183 attendees during its nine-day run from May 8-16.

Featuring acclaimed artists and performers from across New England and beyond, the festival transformed Middlebury into a vibrant hub for imagination, laughter, music, puppetry, and storytelling.

Through grant- and donor-supported school matinees, more than 600 students from area schools experienced live performances free of charge.

From first-time young theatergoers to adults sharing these experiences together, the festival demonstrated how transformative the arts can be for families and communities alike.

Building on the success of its inaugural year, the festival will return in May 2027 with an even broader lineup, including international performers appearing on THT stages.
