The Art & Nature Studio has been a long time dream of artist, naturalist & educator Tricia Cassady. This unique art school will not only help those interested in art perfect the craft involving mainly drawing and painting but will also teach about science and the natural world around us. The idea is to share Tricia's love of art and science with the general public in a non-intimidating way. The c
lasses will give individuals confidence in creating art while helping them appreciate natural history. Patricia "Tricia" Cassady has been an artist since she was a little girl starting with drawing and painting with her mother. Tricia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a minor in Scientific Illustration from Bridgewater State College (now Bridgewater State University) and a Certificate from the Rhode Island School of Design in Natural Science Illustration. Currently Tricia is the President of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators New England Chapter in which she has been a member since 2000 and a member of the National Guild of Natural Science Illustrators since 1998. Tricia has taught at Mass Audubon's Moose Hill Nature Center, the outdoor classroom through the Middleborough Elementary Schools and has taught numerous workshops with The Natural Resource Trust of Bridgewater, Wildlands Trust and the Soule Homestead over the last 12 years. She is currently the Conservation Agent for the Middleborough Conservation Commission where she is inspired by what a resource rich town Middleborough is and how important it is to protect it. Please contact Tricia if you are interested in taking a class or have a question. Let the amazing journey begin!
