Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Rescue & Marine needs YOUR voice!

As one of the few volunteer fire departments providing specialized marine emergency response services in our region, we understand just how critical quick access to our waterways is when every second counts.

We are proposing the relocation of our Marine Emergency Team to C.P. Crane County Park, creating the Port of Bowleys a dedicated marine emergency response facility designed to improve response times, strengthen partnerships with surrounding agencies, and better protect those who live, work, and enjoy the Chesapeake Bay.

Baltimore County will be holding a public input meeting regarding the future of C.P. Crane Park, and this is an important opportunity for our community to learn about the proposal, ask questions, and share feedback.

Our volunteers have dedicated countless hours to protecting our community both on land and on the water. This proposal represents an opportunity to strengthen those lifesaving capabilities for generations to come.

We are asking our neighbors, supporters, fellow first responders, and everyone who cares about the future of Bowleys Quarters to attend.

You don’t have to be a firefighter or a boater to have a voice in the future of public safety.

DPWT main offices are closed on Monday, October 12, 2026, because of the holiday. The landfill and drop-off centers are open. CountyRide is not operating, but the Towson Loop Circulator Service is operating.

Trash and recycling collection WILL OCCUR on Monday, October 12, 2026. There is no slide schedule. We apologize again for any confusion caused by the error in the printed collection calendar that was mailed to residents.
