Maryland Department of Natural Resources has announced license-free fishing days on June 6, June 13, and July 4. This is a great way to introduce fishing to your loved ones and decide if you want to get a license this year or next.

On Monday, June 1 at 6:00 p.m., the Baltimore County Council will honor NASA Astronaut and Cockeysville native G. Reid Wiseman for his leadership of the Artemis II mission and you're invited!

Wiseman will join the Legislative Session next Monday virtually as the Council recognizes his achievements in space exploration, including commanding the 10‑day lunar mission earlier this year.

In observance of Memorial Day, most Baltimore County Recreation and Parks facilities are closed, except for permitted activities.

The following sites will remain open:
• Rocky Point Park and Beach from 10a to 6 p
• Miami Beach Park from 10a to 6 p
• Randallstown Community Center from 8a to 8:45a
• Park gates will remain open for public access
