"In a realm of towering peaks and endless isolation, where glacial winds carve the landscapes and silence reigns supreme, the universe of Aldaaron is born—an ode to untamed and sovereign nature. Snow-covered mountains, witnesses of ages past, embody a timeless purity, while a few souls choose solitude and harmony with the primal rhythms of existence.
Founded in 2004 by Ioldar in the heart of the French Alps, Aldaaron weaves epic, melancholic, and ferocious black metal deeply rooted in the grandeur of its alpine inspirations. From their first demo, Des Légendes et Anciens Dieux (2007), followed by their debut album, Nous Reviendrons Immortels (2010), the band has captivated audiences with immersive and mythological compositions.
Their second album, Suprême Silence (2012), marked a significant step forward in their songwriting maturity, blending technical precision with emotional depth. After a decade of silence, Arcane Mountain Cult (2022) heralded a successful return, combining raw ferocity with captivating and mystical atmospheres.
In 2023, Aldaaron enriched their discography with Majestic Heights, Melancholic Depths. Inspired by the intricate narratives of Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen, this album is a sonic fresco interweaving complex melodies, poignant emotions, and unwavering intensity.
In 2025, Par-delà les cimes (Above and beyond the peaks) ascends to new creative heights. This album delves into themes of solitude, transcendence, and communion with nature, weaving intricate melodies, majestic choirs, clean vocals, and the evocative sounds of traditional instruments like the violin.
