We’re thrilled to be recipients of a 2018 WaveMaker grant from Locust Projects for our new film and transmedia project “This is Little Haiti”, which documents the history of Little Haiti, Miami’s fastest gentrifying neighborhood. Here’s producer Monica Sorelle accepting the award from Locust’s Michelle Lisa Pollisaint for herself and fellow team members Jason Fitzroy Jeffers and Woosler Delisfort!

The people and culture of Little Haiti, the cultural capital of the Haitian diaspora, have stood firm in the face of climate gentrification and attacks from no less than the President himself. We’re immensely grateful to receive this support to bring this important story to the screen.
