During the real estate boom of the 1920's Shoreland Arcade located at 120 NE 1st St. by the Shoreland Company, developers of what we now know as Miami Shores, constructed this building in 1925 with their eyes set on a downtown headquarters. With the unfortunate fall of the real estate market, the Shoreland company was unable to occupy it once finished. Shoreland Arcade today serves as home for various shops and restaurants while also holding a piece of Masonry Vernacular design history. Who’s been before?

Opening its doors as a silent movie palace in early 1926, the historic Olympia Theater has served as a movie theater, concert venue and performing arts center for more than 90 years. Aside from hosting B.B King, Etta James and Elvis Presley the theaters famed atmospheric architecture is what continues to draw in tourist and locals alike, standing as one of the last of its kind. We can’t wait to get out and enjoy our neighborhood again!
