What does it actually take to be ready to pursue representation, submit for roles, and walk into an audition prepared?
This 7-week class takes actors through the practical side of getting casting-ready, from building the materials you need to understanding what happens once your audition lands on the other side of the table.
We’ll cover headshots, acting résumés, finding and approaching agents, slates, audition wardrobe, self-tapes, framing and filming, audition technique, and more. And we won’t just talk about auditions. You’ll actually do them.
We’ll also get into the realities of casting: why a great audition doesn’t always result in a booking, how chemistry and physical type can affect a decision, what happens when another actor has already been cast, how much competition there can be, and why sometimes the final choice has very little to do with whether you were “good enough.”
The goal? To leave the class with a much clearer understanding of the business, stronger audition skills, and the tools you need to present yourself professionally as you pursue representation and casting opportunities.
