It’s about the students for me!
Special thank you to all of my students who wrote me a letter, purchased a gift, or even created something special for me. I definitely felt loved. ❤️
I promise you, with all of my heart, I teach because of YOU, nothing more, nothing less. I never knew I would have the calling or capacity to serve youth in this way, but nonetheless, it all started 18 years ago… and I’m still here. God knew what he was doing!
I’ve seen and felt enough to make anyone want to leave this profession 20 times over, but despite it all, you all continue to remind me that this is part of my purpose. God gave me the gift of teaching, and I do not take that lightly. 🎭✨
Even if you never perform on a stage again, take the tools you’ve learned through theatre and apply them to your everyday life. Confidence, communication, creativity, empathy, discipline, resilience. These life skills will carry you further than you can imagine. If you use them, you will never lose.
Also, a very special shout out to Coach Kay! Thank you so much for thinking of us in Building 2. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are truly appreciated. 🫶🏾
