Before I started helping y’all find your people, I was a journalist for 18 years. The last project I worked on was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize!
I moved to Miami in 2017 to work for WLRN, South Florida’s NPR member station. First, I reported on K-12 and higher education locally. Then, I edited feature stories. The last few years I led the award-winning investigations team and managed podcasts. In December 2025, I left WLRN and journalism — changing careers to focus full-time on fighting loneliness and building community.
Before I left, I served as an editor for a collaborative investigation with the Miami Herald. We learned last week it was honored as a finalist for a Pulitzer in the local reporting category. I’m so grateful I got the chance to celebrate this tremendous national recognition with my former colleagues at WLRN and the Herald (pictured above).
I will always be passionate about telling stories and supporting local journalism, and I’m excited for different ways I will get to blend those passions with facilitating meaningful connection experiences. Stay tuned! 😉
