Before I started helping y’all find your people, I was a journalist for 18 years. The last project I worked on was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize!

I moved to Miami in 2017 to work for WLRN, South Florida’s NPR member station. First, I reported on K-12 and higher education locally. Then, I edited feature stories. The last few years I led the award-winning investigations team and managed podcasts. In December 2025, I left WLRN and journalism — changing careers to focus full-time on fighting loneliness and building community.

Before I left, I served as an editor for a collaborative investigation with the Miami Herald. We learned last week it was honored as a finalist for a Pulitzer in the local reporting category. I’m so grateful I got the chance to celebrate this tremendous national recognition with my former colleagues at WLRN and the Herald (pictured above).

I will always be passionate about telling stories and supporting local journalism, and I’m excited for different ways I will get to blend those passions with facilitating meaningful connection experiences. Stay tuned! 😉

Partner dancing with no lead or follow is all about giving and receiving energy✨

The turnout was INCREDIBLE for Dance Out of Tradition. 75+ people showed up to dance salsa with and engage in deep conversations about gender roles for our collab with and .

We talked about when we like to lead, when we like to follow, what society’s expectations around gender feel like for us, how our families play a role — and people went DEEP. It was fun, brave and beautiful.

Seems like it’s repeat-able? 🤩

I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet , the foremost champion in the fight against loneliness, and share with him how his devotion helped pave the way for me to embrace my life purpose and mission.

A few years ago, I was deeply lonely — and because of Dr. Murthy, I knew I wasn’t alone. His 2023 advisory on the epidemic of loneliness and social disconnection provided the validation that what I was experiencing was part of a global phenomenon, the data that demonstrated how deeply harmful it was for our mental, physical and communal health, and the prescription for how to fix it.

I was so proud to share that We Met in Miami has hosted thousands of people at nearly 100 events over the last two years, bringing together people actively seeking love, friendship and community. And now we’re off and running with our second chapter, We Met in Broward! It’s never been more clear that we are saving and changing lives with this work.

I’m grateful to , and for facilitating this opportunity for me and other community connectors. The dedication is deep and real in Miami to fight community deterioration and make sure no one feels alone.

Partner dancing is a great way to gauge chemistry. Conversations reveal deeper compatibility. At Salsa & Speed Dating, these singles got a chance to do both.

A basic step, an outside turn, a cross body lead on the dance floor. After, a rotation of one-on-one mini dates. Overall, a fun, dynamic way to meet new people and see if you click.

So much love to & for yet another edition of this popular event.

The best part of every Game Night is when no one wants to leave at the end.

We make connection easy and fun. People start out as strangers and stay late to keep chatting, exchange info and make after-party plans.

The picturesque setting, vibes and weather made this one extra special! Thank you so much to THE BASS for inviting us to take part in Art Outside Annual Picnic!
