Nestor Arenas ART Studio In “Paisajes Transformers,” the artist
satirizes, for example, the means of expression of Russian Constructivism,
of Futurism, Dadaism, or Socialist Realism.

Throughout its entire trajectory, Arena’s body of work has maintained
a vocation for critiquing contemporary history from the early 20th
century to date, a vocation that muses about the aesthetic history of
tendencies that marked the avant-garde and neo avant-garde
movements of the 20th century. But he is also an
insatiable predator of the post avant-garde movement, that is, Pop
Art and neo Figurative art, Conceptualism and neo-Expressionism. Hence the markedly iconographic visual nature of his works, busts,
comics, heraldry, banners, buildings and cities. It is precisely this
poetics of iconoclastic inspiration that allows him to fit out an analytical
dimension of a historical cut. In them, symbolic representations of
the various phases of his development cohabitate and juxtapose, both
with regards to the socio-cultural and political project of Modernity
as with Postmodernity.
