DNF 2026 artist profile:

I’m really excited to be hosting one of North Americas pioneers in Noise Festival curation and organization. Running one of the longest running noise events, Norcal Noisefest, Lob Instagon will make his first performance in Denver CO. Lob has been a huge inspiration to the Denver Noise Fest and many other festivals of this genre. It is an honor to share our stage with him.

Instagon (AZ)

INSTAGON has been a thorn in the experimental noise community since 1993 and has never appeared on stage with the same lineup. Founded by conceptual creative artist LOB, as part of TOPY North America, the project has evolved over 3 decades and has over 100 releases, played over 850 shows, and boasts just as many "members". LOB, beyond being a sound artist, is also a long time event organizer and was responsible for the Norcal Noisefest event from 2005-2023. Instagon appeared at all NCNF events 1995-2023. Instagon continues to push sonic boundaries and shift audio paradigms wherever it goes. Currently the small town of Miami, Arizona is where Lob and Thee Instagon Foundation hail from. This will be Instagon's first appearance in Colorado and is scheduled to be a "mixer set" , featuring numerous players creating a live sound-sculpture in real time.

INSTAGON 856 = Miami Loco Arts Festival 2026 @ Thee 23 Skidoo - - THANK YOU to everyone that came out to Miami Loco Arts Festival and stuck around for the EPIC show from Instagon. We played 2.5 hours and just let the world fly by around us in total LOCO fashion.. as Dan mentions in the comments, it was one of the hottest sets.. just on fire and we thank everyone who got to be part of it.. now its like everything else... instagon...

tonight we were told ov thee passing ov our friend Free Fargo from Las Vegas. Free was from Texas, and then lived in Las Vegas for a long time, we interacted a lot about 20 years ago when he was in the Bay Area.. We had lost contact over the past decade... and he was someone that actually came to visit when we were in Sacramento. He was a drummer and when he was in the Bay area, he played a few Instagon shows..here is one from 2009 in Oakland RIP Free.
