Let's get MELVIN his first wheels !!

We want to help Melvin Get his first car, so he can arrive to work and class on time! Please help us out with anything you can, even the smallest donation goes a long way.

Melvin joined our studio as a volunteer when he was just a junior is high School, in 2 years he has grown as a tremendously as an artist as a potter and became and adult in front of our eyes. The kindness that describes him is well received by all studio members, friends of the studio and every weekend when he teachers students of all ages how to glaze their pieces.
•
Melvin was an excellent student in High school, where he graduated with a GPA of 3.4 and received the Cambridge, bright futures scholarship. He is currently enrolled in Broward college pursuing his BFA in Ceramics.

Wheel, hand-build, sculpt, slip cast and glaze!
Only 10 spots per class , 4 hour workshops, all materials included, we even have a kick off happy hour so Instructors and students can converse and mingle outside the studio.

Thank you so much to for such a beautiful article about our little studio.
The journey here has been a fun roller coaster, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter awaits.
Let me introduce myself ( I haven’t done it in a long time ), my name is Domingo Olavarria , I’m from Caracas ,Venezuela.
I was a filmmaker for many years and later discovered pottery through chance , I’m not a seasoned potter, I didn’t go to school for this, I’m what you call a “YouTube University” graduate.
I did give it my all and it gave me so much more in return.
Pottery gave me a way of expression when I discovered it, it allowed me to connect with an inner part of me that lay dormant.
Later, it gave me a family and a a community , I even met my future wife though pottery! I can’t be more thankful for this muddy lifestyle.
I’m thankful for everyone that has helped me get here, and I promise to keep going as hard as I’ve been for the past 6 years.
We have many new exiting projects in the horizon that I can’t wait to share with you guys!
So thank you, thank you, thank you, especially to my beautiful fiancée for her never ending love, support and patience , to all the pottery fam of south Florida, to all the studio members, students, clients, staff and even if we don’t speak anymore, and time tries to make us strangers, I want you to know that I love you and I wish you the best, I think of you and I have so much appreciation of how each of you affected my life.

Our brunches are back !!! Every LAST sunday of the month we get together for a meet-and-greet member brunch, its a chance for our members and teachers to mingle and socialize beyond the clay, this is "potluck" style, the studio will have some complementary beverages, this is for member + family , and friends of the studio.
