Our mission is to bridge cultural gaps and preserve African culture by facilitating artistic education through traditional African dance, drum, music, art and history. Our goal is to provide children and adults of our diverse community the opportunity for expression, growth and appreciation in a supportive and nurturing environment.

It’s finally time to share the journey with YOU!

N.I.M.B.A. — New Ideas Make Bold Artists is a two-phase cultural exchange that began in December 2024, when Delou Africa traveled to Guinea, West Africa, to study with AWA Guinean Percussion.

While in Guinea, we danced, drummed, listened, learned, and immersed ourselves in the culture. We had the opportunity to learn about the Baga people, their dances and traditions, and the cultural significance of the Nimba mask. 🇬🇳

But the work didn’t stop when we came home.

Over the past two years, our artists have continued to study, explore, rehearse, create, and build upon what we experienced in Guinea.

Now, it’s DELOU’S CHANCE TO SHARE WITH YOU WHAT WE’VE BEEN WORKING ON! 🔥💃🏾

Join us for the N.I.M.B.A. Culmination Concert, where we bring this journey to the stage through powerful dance, live drumming, culture, and storytelling.

This is what happens when artists travel, exchange, learn, return home, and carry that knowledge forward.

And listen… y’all are going to want to be in the building for this one! 🔥🔥🔥

Delou Africa is bringing the rhythm, energy, and joy of West African dance to Co-Space with our new Monthly West African Dance Classes!

In addition to our weekly classes come move, sweat, connect, and experience the power of West African dance in a high-energy class filled with culture, community, and plenty of good vibes.

Come ready to move your body, feel the rhythm, and have a GOOD time.
