Two-time GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Becca Stevens & The Secret Trio bring their genre-defying artistry to GroundUP Music Festival Alberobello 2026. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿช„

Drawing from Appalachian folk roots, a background in jazz, and a love of experimental indie, creates songs that are as technically daring as they are deeply human. The story of her collaboration with Balkan chamber music group The Secret Trio is one that encapsulates the jazz ethos of free-flowing improvisation that took place many years ago at GroundUP Music Festival in Miami.

The resulting album is a glorious sprawl: a meeting place of tradition and modernity, contrapuntal melodies and beguiling harmonies.

, made up of oud player Ara Dinkjian, clarinetist Ismail Lumanovski, and kanun player Tamer PฤฑnarbaลŸฤฑ, combine the traditional sounds of their respective homelands (Armenia, Macedonia, Turkey) with contemporary sensibilities โ€” but their work with Stevens is where they found โ€œa new languageโ€ for their instruments.

Together, they create a captivating musical experience that blends Middle Eastern and Balkan traditions with jazz, rock, and classical influences.
