SEEKING
Equity actors for roles in Zoetic Stage's 2026-27 Season (See breakdown). Actors of all ethnicities and gender identifications are encouraged to audition.
PREPARATION
Please prepare 2 contrasting contemporary monologues reflecting range, language and vulnerability, and, if auditioning for the musical, 32-bars of a standard, music theatre, or pop piece. An accompanist will be available. Please provide two headshots and two resumes at the audition. Each candidate will have 5 minutes.

SYNOPSIS
A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

SYNOPSIS
Eric, reeling from his discovery at Walter’s house, finds himself growing even closer to Henry- while Toby tumbles down a dark hole of celebrity and addiction as he runs from a hidden past that will inevitably catch up with him. And the young man Leo, returning to Toby’s life and Toby’s bed, discovers a world of books- in particular the works of E.M. Forster- that open up a new realm of life to him, but at the same time finds himself in more danger than before.

At a high school in a one-stoplight town in Georgia, an English class is studying “The Crucible” but the students are more preoccupied with navigating young love, s*x ed, and a few school scandals. As the students delve into the American classic, they begin to question the play’s perspective and the validity of naming John Proctor the show’s hero.
