Happy Mother's Day from me and my kiddo!
He made this little bowl 26 years ago when I was in my second semester of pottery at and we still use it today. That was probably the last time he even touched the wheel, but we won't hold that against him. The teapot I'm holding is one of mine from around that same time.

We offer a little bit of everything at Gumbo Limbo Pottery.
Wheel throwing, hand building, glazing, firing. You can explore the full process of making something with your hands from start to finish. We also offer mosaic classes, which are newer to our lineup and so satisfying to watch come together!
Classes run in multi-week sessions or options for one-time classes, private instruction, and parties for kids and adults. If you want to do something different with a group, this is a great option for birthday parties, date nights, or family sessions.

If you have been wanting to try pottery, now is the time. Registration is open for our next session starting the week of Feb 23. We offer adult, kid, and teen classes with morning, evening, and weekend schedules, so it is easy to find a time that fits.

All skill levels are welcome, whether you are brand new or returning to build on what you already know. Adults meet for 6 weeks and kids meet for 5 weeks. You will learn wheel throwing, handbuilding, and glazing, with step-by-step instruction throughout the session. Classes fill quickly, so be sure to register soon. Link in bio.

Classes start in just a few days, and there are a handful of spots still available in our January pottery session. This is a great time to jump in, whether you’re brand new to clay or ready to get back on the wheel.
We offer instruction in both wheel throwing and hand building, with morning, evening, and weekend options to fit busy schedules. Our adult classes run for six weeks, and kids courses run for five weeks.

Last-minute gift shopping? Look no further. Give the gift of ceramics with our Winter Gnome Handbuilding Workshop on Saturday, 12/27 from 4–7 p.m. Better yet, come together and make it an experience to remember.

In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn how to handbuild a festive gnome, adding their own unique details and colors before the first firing. Once finished, you’ll have a handmade buddy ready to become part of your holiday decor for years to come.

Tonight we unloaded a beautiful last-minute firing just in time for the Miami Book Fair this weekend! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 21st to the 23rd at the Miami Dade Wolfson campus. Come on out for the great lectures, local authors and book sellers, live music, and of course handmade pottery! I'm in booth #427. Stop by and say hi!
