We’re interested in what happens when Caribbean stories, familiar visuals and new technology come together. 💻🎨🌴
This short film is part of our continued exploration into visual storytelling; using cinematic ideas, AI and distinctly Jamaican references to tell stories that feel familiar, but still leave room for interpretation.
Inspired by a scene from Netflix US The Last House, we used Higgsfield AI to reimagine the feeling of being trapped through a Jamaican lens: a youth on a Yeng Yeng, repeatedly trying to escape his lane, held back by an invisible barrier that breaks, reforms and pushes him back. Alongside him, a wild horse fights against its cage; two different images connected by the same desire for freedom.
For us, the story is about the barriers we inherit, the ones placed around us, and sometimes the ones we create for ourselves. The important part is continuing to push against them.
Believe.
At Don Dada, this is a space we want to explore much further, helping brands turn Caribbean culture, ideas and experiences into visual stories people can actually feel.
More experiments to come.
