Los mitos son narraciones maravillosas que se refieren más a un sistema simbólico que a un concepto. En esta charla analizaremos algunas representaciones mitológicas relacionadas con la feminidad y los relatos del origen en la cultura venezolana y su relación con distintas cosmogonías del mundo. Esta aproximación sobre el arte y los mitos se plantea en el marco de la exposición “Origins” de Milixa Morón en Mifa Gallery.

We are living in unprecedented times as the world changes daily. We read and listen to stories of how COVID-19 has affected so many across the country and world. Simple acts like hugging a friend, teaching a class, gathering for a meal with relatives and friends, going to a concert, watching sports and finding basic supplies changed overnight. We have immense gratitude for the bravery of those who are working in hospitals, first responder vehicles, grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies, delivery trucks and other essential critical infrastructure jobs. Thank you. On behalf of Steven, Elaine and The Bennett Collection, we are donating $10,000 to help alleviate some of the financial strains from COVID-19. We will be randomly drawing 20 names and giving $500 to each winner. We will be sharing the winners on Instagram on Monday, April 13 at 9 p.m. EST. We are all in this together.
