Here is a 24"x24" game board with a sunken bio-sub 3D print. There are also some scatter scenery on top of the main board. I used a 2x2 section of pink foam glued to playwood as the base, then bopped it lots of times to make the texture. I also carved in a trench for some lava, but mostly it was about making simple texture. The scenery parts were zenith primed (black, then white using Army Painted primer), then washes with lots of inks and medium. I tried Army Painted washes and they are fine, not a lot different than Liquitex inks, but they are much lower pigment content and lower viscosity, so they do not thin down very well. I ended up using Liquitex Dioxazine purple ink for the bulk of the color, then used both inks for other things. Overall, it was prime-wash-drybrush-light wash to do everything, so it went very quickly. The only one no zenith primed was the giant soft coral, which was primed in white.

This is the finished Brachyrox Assault Crab for Deepwars. It includes the sea goblin riders and scenic base and is part of the Nereids of Blood Reef faction. The sea goblins are attached with sticky-tac for photos but for gaming they could be on plastic bases so they can dismount and re-mount the crab. The base is also separate. In the game it acts like a troop transport with strong attack capability. This model is up for sale if anyone is interested.

This is the Mega Crab from DeepWars, a warbeast/vehicle for the Sea Goblins. Next up are the goblins riding this guy, so this is just a WIP. I may just make them attach to the back with sticky tac so I don't ruin the paintjob. This one was painted like a Sally Lightfoot Crab.
