For 40 years, the has nurtured Miami’s creative ecosystem…long before the art fairs arrived and long before Wynwood’s graffitied walls became iconic.

More than 1,500 artists have walked through its doors, shaping the cultural landscape we celebrate today.

As we kick off , we’re grateful for and for tracing this extraordinary story: from a $10 abandoned bakery to a thriving hub of studios, fabrication spaces, and exhibitions in service of a vibrant community of artists. And soon, a visionary live-work campus designed to sustain Miami’s next generation of artists.

You’ll spot Bakehouse artists across the city all week 〰️ in all the major art fairs, public installations, museum & gallery shows, and beyond. But their roots, their community, their home base? It all starts here.

Corals hold the memory of the ocean 🪸

This year, .us opened the world’s largest cruise terminal at PortMiami, with perhaps the most striking part of the new cruise terminal being the art program that will be on display for all to enjoy.

Visitors to the cruise terminal are likely to be wowed by the 194 glazed ceramic sculptures that make up the artwork “Collected Forms”. This site-specific ceramic installation was made by hand by Miami-based artist and our client, .

In “Collected Forms,” Lauren Shapiro immortalizes fragile ecosystems through sculpted marine life cast from 3D scans. As coral reefs disappear, these ceramic friezes become not just art, but echoes of what we may soon lose.

Blending art, science, and advocacy, “Collected Forms” aligns with the MSC Foundation’s mission to cultivate appreciation for the ocean and inspire responsible stewardship. It encourages voyagers not only to admire marine life but to recognize their role in its preservation for future generations.

Earlier this season, we gathered in the penthouse of Miami Beach’s iconic for an intimate salon with ceramic artist Lauren Shapiro, ✨

With the city below and the ocean in view, guests were invited into a tactile world of 3D-printed forms, sculptural glazes, and in-process works that offered a rare look into Lauren’s evolving practice.

We created a setting that was part conversation, part discovery, celebrating one of Miami’s most exciting artistic voices in a way that felt deeply personal and creatively charged.

Thank you to all who joined us, and to Lauren for her generosity and vision. Here’s to more thoughtful moments shared around the work we love.

Just me reflecting on my collection while transitioning to a new home ✨

I’ve been thinking about the journey each of my pieces has taken with me. My very first purchase was a small black and white painting by Jean-Baptiste Bernadet at the Newd Art Fair in Bushwick. It was such a departure from his usual large-scale, colorful work, and I knew I couldn’t walk away without it.

Not long after, I gained the confidence to go bigger: I acquired my first large-scale paintings, two works from a beautiful and atmospheric series of paintings by Benoit Platéus rendered on vintage French movie posters.

The most meaningful works in my collection aren’t defined by price but by the stories they tell and the artists they represent. One of my favorites is “The Sweet Tooth” by Yulia Iosilzon. It’s these works, that gave me a gut-punch reaction while strolling through an art fair or building a new relationship with a gallery, that shape both my collection and my journey as an art lover. Art has a way of staying with you, evolving with you, and reflecting the changes you go through.
