We are proud to present WHAT PATTERN PERMITS a solo exhibition by Peter Polyak, curated by Marco Caridad, bringing together selected works from his KeyHole and LaceLand series.

For more than a decade, Polyak has been investigating intimacy, concealment, and the limits of visual access. In these paintings, bodies are revealed, interrupted, and partially absorbed by patterned surfaces. The viewer is repeatedly offered access to an image while being denied complete possession of it.
The lace is not ornament. It is a mechanism that regulates seeing.

As the artist states: “The n**e body is only the threshold.”

What the image withholds is completed by the observer. Every act of partial visibility becomes an act of projection and the exhibition ultimately asks: how much do we construct about another person from the fragment that is made visible?

Peter Polyak is currently an Artist in Residence at MIFA. This exhibition is the direct result of his ongoing research and practice developed within our studios.

We are proud to present The River a solo exhibition by Jacqueline Bermúdez, curated by Shirley Moreira.

Crows. Golden leaves. Seeds. Botanical patterns. A visual language built over nearly two decades of painting through motherhood, grief, healing, and spiritual searching.

The river is not a subject. It is a metaphor for everything that moves through us and cannot stay still, change, loss, growth, the quiet transformations that shape who we become.

These paintings begin in the deeply personal. But they open toward something universal. You may find your own story inside them.

Before the exhibition closes, come experience the process behind it.

Yuko Yamaguchi artist behind After the Wave is offering an intimate, hands-on monoprint workshop at MIFA this Saturday. Only 5 spots available.

Over one full day, Yuko will guide you through monoprinting with watercolor, layering, texture, and the printing press sharing the techniques from her own studio practice and helping you create your own unique works on paper.

No printmaking experience necessary.

We are proud to present Nature Within, a solo exhibition by Daniela Sanchez Vegas, curated by Shirley Moreira.

Working with recovered materials and objects that have lost their original purpose, Sanchez Vegas transforms what might have become waste into aesthetic and symbolic presence. The artistic gesture becomes a form of care a way of extending the life of matter while recognizing and giving thanks for its origin.

Crows, golden leaves, seeds, botanical patterns, and spiritual references create a visual language where loss and regeneration, vulnerability and strength, the physical and the sacred coexist.

This is not an exhibition about nature as something outside of us. It is a reminder that we were never separate from it.
