The Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL) cordially invites you to the opening reception celebrating Noel Suarez: Artist-in-Residence at The Art Deco Museum 1001 Ocean Drive
Thursday, June 4 from 6 - 9 PM. The residency begins with "Not a Retrospective," a first look at works tracing Noel's artistic evolution from 1982 to the present. Spanning Art Deco, Modernism, Classical, and figurative influences, the exhibit will include pieces from the artist's own collection, as well as those recently drawn from private collections. Throughout the residency, which will continue through the end of the year with four additional exhibits, Noel will create new work live, on-site, and offer presentations, demonstrations, and classes exploring artistic movements, technique, and the human form. The five exhibits will examine his influences, Miami Beach's preservation history, and his interdisciplinary practice. See you June 4!

INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY

Although I was fortunate to be born with both talents, ballet was my priority and drawing was my outlet to disconnect from all. Later on it became clear that my dancing remains present through my paintings. The movement and the energy of the body remains my fuel and best way to expression.

While bringing paintings to frame for my upcoming Artist in Residence at the MDPL Art Deco Museum (May to Dec 2026) I got to see my three paintings selected by La Victoria already framed, they look beautiful! Thank you so much Jesus🙏🏻 I look forward to La Victoria’s official opening and see them at their final destination as part of this unique concept, paying homage to our Cuban heritage and love for Art Deco. Looking forward to La Victoria’s unveiling!!!

Just a year ago, April 25/2025 during my last Oceania’s Artist in Residences in beautiful, complex, intense & unique Casablanca. I’ve been visiting this city since 2005 and one thing I can say with no doubts whatsoever is, thanks God for the Hyatt hotel across the Medina🙏🏻 Regardless the amazing history, beauty, architecture and uniqueness of this city, seating at the bar at probably the most beautifully interior designed Hyatt ever enjoying a glass of an amazing rose, is a necessity!🙏🏻 This is the reality and uniqueness of all cities of Morocco🇲🇦 What makes them one of a kind needs to be taken as is, just make sure that at the end of the day there’s some comfort that includes a chilled delicious glass of rose. Although Casablanca and Marrakech are beautiful, my favorite city of Morocco is Tangier❤️🙏🏻

Three years ago at one of my favorite places in the world, Funchal, Madeiras at my favorite chilling place Joao’s, while on one of my I love a beautiful place, ideally located to access the entire Mediterranean, cosmopolitan and chick enough to give the urbanism vibe with the relaxed Portuguese beauty. I’ve been coming here often since 2005 and my connection with this place grows with every visit. ❤️🇵🇹 🙌
