Cardboard boxes for the win🙌

I always have one or two kids every class who choose to make something out of cardboard during their free time!
It is such a versatile material that it lends itself wonderfully to the imagination✨

These love potions reminded me of what I find most important in running a business. Continuously loving and working on myself, as well as nurturing my relationships with the kids and families I work with💕

We will have a mini art gallery to showcase all of our student’s work at the end of our class sessions. It brings the kids such pride and gives parents a chance to see all that their little ones have been up to.

My favorite reason to have one is to see how it fosters an atmosphere of respect and appreciation amongst all students for one another’s choices. They all have access to the same materials and are shown the same techniques but are free to choose the directions they want to take✨

This project inspired by was intense with the amount of patience, fine motor control and overall effort it demanded from our students; but oh so worth it! It was such a delight to see how enraptured they were by their work that even the suggested breaks were declined.

Our spring classes are off to a great start on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons as well as Saturday mornings!

We are constantly reminding our little artists that the art they create is meant for them, but that they can always choose to share it as well. That’s just what they did during one of our Spring Break Camps! Campers took such delight in designing then building and accessorizing every aspect of their dollhouse that they asked to share with their fellow campers✨

Spring Break Camp (2/23 - 2/27) registration is up on the website and is sure to be full of fun and exploration as we revisit this theme and design more wooden houses!

Thank you for this camp idea that proves to be magical each time we host it!

Happy Valentine’s Day 💕

Watch how this little one takes full ownership of her project, making decisions every step of the way while having fun too. We choose to focus on the process of creating over the end results and you can see why!

Proof of why I find play to be such an important part of our classes. Freedom to express themselves brings discovery, friendship, and joy✨.

Can’t wait to see what they come up with on Friday for our Valentines Day Camp 9am to 3pm😄.

When every child walks into the studio, it’s not only important to greet them personally but to also set up an inviting space for them.

A student was dropped off early recently and asked to set up an invitation for her classmates. It was so well thought out and presented that it was an instant hit🙌.

Registration for Presidents Day Camp and Spring Break Camp are now open on our website.

This new studio finally allows us to have semi-large art installations for all classes to collaborate on and I am so excited to have our first one be this cardboard city. It will be in the studio for the next 2 weeks allowing mini makers to layer on building materials, fabric and paint.
