This lil’ bower bird made it all the way to LA!
It was a fun project to blend the aesthetic of the birds with such a utilitarian function. I’m pretty sure she holds water, I spent enough time working on those welds. But the bushy tail handle was what I was really excited about. And I can’t get over how the polished surface picks up everything in the room to really blend in. More like a chameleon, than a carafe.
Excited to be a part of it. Thank you Dave and Laura!
“JUGS at presents the water vessel as both ancient form and contemporary object. Installed in the previously private kitchen of the Goldwyn House in Los Angeles, the exhibition brings together singular works by international artists, tracing histories of utility, ritual, and material intelligence across time. Set within an intimate domestic context, the jug is reimagined as a site of experimentation, memory, and cultural meaning. See my JUG beginning February 25 at The Future Perfect.”
