When talking about climate, we’re working to reframe doom and gloom by asking a question: What if we get things RIGHT? ☀️

That solutions-focused framework inspired the conversations of Aspen Ideas: Climate 2024, where industry leaders from policy to science to industry to art, music, and beyond gathered in Miami Beach to discuss the important work of creating a better future for all.

Three days of climate conversations ranging from agriculture, climate entrepreneurship, healthcare, environmental justice and more focused on cultivating realistic, workable hope.

Yesterday capped an eventful Day Two of Aspen Ideas: Climate. We heard a wide range of conversations from the transformation of the transportation industry to The Climate Solutions Showcase where early stage entrepreneurs pitch their concepts to an audience as they would to investors. A few highlights:

🌎 Kathryn Murdoch (), Executive Producer of the new series “A Brief History of the Future,” was inspired by a conversation with her daughter about climate media. Today, she spoke about how the cynical options out there inspired her to make a series that was hopeful and positive.
“I was talking to my daughter two years ago and I was really shocked to hear her say she didn’t see any hope for the future…there’s 27 flavors of dystopia but there’s no version where we actually get things right. So that was what sparked this idea.”

🌎 At the Climate Solutions showcase, Miami based husband and wife team Gloria Martinez and Edmerson Vasquez spotlighted their company Neo Broadband () where they tackle electronic waste and emphasize electronic repair.
“Every second, 1,000 laptops are thrown away around the world. On top of contributing to landfills, the side effects of this waste can cause lung cancer, kidney damage, hair loss and other bodily harm.”
