A lot of people asked me if I ever brought students from the continent of Africa 🌍 to America 🇺🇸. To answer that question is yes ! Twice to be exact. Botswana 🇧🇼 students in 2020 and recently our Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 students of in 2025. The Cultural Exchange Program no one outside of Miami-Dade County heard of but making an impact on our youth.

Did you know that Harare High School - DANHO opened in 1958 and Miami Central High School opened in 1959?.

The two schools has vast similarities and challenges across the board.

But what Mr. Sands & Ms. Santande has in common is their mission to transform lives and improve school accountability.

Harare enrollment: 2,500
Central enrollment: 1,400

Just another school day,... but not an ordinary experience.

Our BISCEP students stepped into classrooms in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, learning side by side with their peers, building friendships, and experiencing education through a global lens.

The day didn’t end in the classroom, it continued on the field for Sports Day, where teamwork, laughter, and friendly competition brought everyone together. ⚽️🏀🏈🏉🏐

Moments like these remind us that some of life’s greatest lessons happen beyond the textbooks.

This is what educating across borders looks like.
