I’ve been a bit silent on Shimmy Well’s account because as a business owner it’s important to share our authentic selves while at the same time appeal and understand all of our clients.

however this news has devastated me so much I have needed a bit of time to process what I wish to say to my followers and students.

My clients are all female and in this supposed land of the free, mostly old men have decided that our bodies are no longer ours and yet again property of a man.

As women we are already inundated with a society making us believe our worth is in our appearance, fighting for equal pay for the same job as a man while still making sure not to be r***d, abused or traumatized while also hoping to be believed if we do suffer said trauma.

The SCOTUS has decided if you are, THIER choice is more important than your own for your body, mind and spirit.

My focus is helping women heal trauma and this decision in and of itself is traumatic let alone the millions of women who will be effected by this.

We have slid so far backwards that the concept of Handmaid’s Tale is no longer a crazy and scary possibility.

we begged and pleaded for gun control after we kept losing hundreds and hundreds to gun violence and their solution was instead to allow murder at the hands of fire arms but to force women what to do with their own bodies. Note not forcing men to be responsible for these pregnancies, only the women.

As a responsible business owner, it is not only my desire but also my duty to let all the women I work with and who will be effected by this disgusting stance that I am here to help, to fight, to speak out, to put these religious extremists and control freaks in their place and support YOU. Every single one of you.

Belly dance was feared by men because there is power in a community of women and we are many and we are powerful!

Hang in there my ladies! while we all fight together to tear down the patriarchy that made this possible. I am here for it!
