About:
Boys Like Us is a series of paintings and self-portraits by JJ Quinn exploring what it feels like to move through the world as a trans masculine person.
At a time when trans lives, bodies, and rights are constantly debated and legislated, visibility is a radical act. So is joy. This show is both — a celebration of trans men, of our bodies, of the deep kinship that comes from a shared lived experience the world doesn’t always make space for.
Boys Like Us is a love letter to trans brotherhood — to the community, kinship, and a unique shared experience that connects us.
10% of all profits from the show will be donated to the Trans Continental Pipeline, a nonprofit helping trans and q***r individuals relocate from unsafe environments to states with greater legal/cultural safety.
