Just as we were chomping at the bit to announce the rebirth of PASA as Performing Arts Serving Acadiana, the COVID-19 shutdown began. We’ll have great performers on stage again as soon as the coast is clear. If you followed PASA in its first two decades, you may remember that the organization brought so many of the world great artists to Lafayette: Michael McDonald, Soweto Gospel Choir, Lily Tomlin, Porgy & Bess, great operas, performances of Shakespeare, To Kill a Mockingbird and so much more. These types of performances are mostly non-existent at the Heymann Center today. Let’s bring ‘em back.
